What happens when a truck driver gets a ticket? Does he/she lose their job?

My fiance got a ticket for driving over the speed limit. He just found out that he is guilty and now he has a point on his license. What happens now? Will he be able to drive again? Is his career as a professional driver over? what should I do? We are in the process of planning a wedding. Does this situation sound hopeless to you or not?

1. no I think he will be alright however I would be concern if it happens over and over in a short period of time.
2. My brother is a truck driver and he got 3 tickets before his trucking license was suspended. He had to pay his fines, get his license back and get his points down before he was allowed to drive again. He also lost his job after the third ticket. Your fiance should be fine, but he does need to be more careful. However, every trucking company has their own set of rules and he should refer to them for the final answer about whether he will lose or keep his job.
3. how would i know if he will loose his job, i dont work for the company. every company is different and every circumstance is different - how fast was he going ? - how long has he worked for the company ? - how strick are they ? - does he have any other tickets ? - so on and so on so how can anybody answer this question other than his boss ???????????????????????

5. Dont worry about it. 1 pt is nothing. The trick is run 9mph over posted speed, u get stopped no pts, 10mph an they start w/ the pts. 14mph over is considered wreckless, and can go to jail. I had 7 spding tickets, 3 warnings, in 3 1/2 yrs, no pts. if your going to run hard...it pays to have one of the pre-paid legal services, they go to court for you, make deals etc. you just have to make sure you pay both on time.
