- The medical field would be your best bet. Good Luck!!
- medical assistant. any job that takes more training is less likely to be replaced by a cheaper worker.
- Medical Ass. Have you ever thought of extending your major... Like maybe Nursing, or something more. Truck driving school is alot more then you think. Are you sure you want to chnage your option to something like that plus there is no way of getting something better... Like as in medical field you can decide rather or not you want to take that next step farther to better yourself and your degree. Crystal
- Stick with the medical field. Truck driving has the potential to make a lot of money, but it varies from season to season, and what company you work for. And there really aren't many benefits. Plus you are driving for long hours, have serious regulations, and if anything at all goes wrong, it cuts into your income. The medical field is a lot more stable, and the income is better overall, and the health care benefits are actually existant.
- I have been a trucker for 21 years now. You can make excellent pay and benefits. Don't settle for less than 45,000 per year to start. I know many people who make in excess of $80,000 per year. But beware. I have seen a lot of people come and go in the trade. What many don't anticipate is that becoming a truck driver is often a lifestyle change as well, especially if you end up working over-the-road. You cannot imagine the negative aspects of trucking. You have to really love it to put up with the bad stuff. The trucking trade has a huge turnover. How big of a turnover rate does medical asst have? Weigh it all in the balances and I think you have the better job now.
