I (a female) want to work in a male dominated career. Any suggestions.?
I am 40 years old, female and sick and tired of working with a bunch of women in my current health care job. Please sugguest a career I can train for in 2 years or less that pays decent money. I am good with technical stuff.

- I say go for it! Many industrial arts careers are actively seeking women! There are fewer and fewer people entering trade such as HVAC, bricklaying, road construction, etc. Check with an area vocational school about retraining. If you do it, get a thick skin and go with the flow! You'll find the men might resent you at first until you prove you can do the job! Once you do that, you'll be just fine (as long as you don't cringe at a few dirty jokes!). Good luck!
- You can become a cop .....with two years of college or if you already have college in your background. Look for a technical job that your intrested in and go for it 100 percent .... looking for something new is a great idea and experience ... just dont forget to bring home the bacon ma .... lol
