  1. I worked for Fresenius Medical Care for 6 years, it's a world-wide dialysis provider. Being a dialysis tech is a MESSY job. Although I was doing I.T. support which involved responding to the individual clinics, take it from me, a dialysis clinic is a very depressing, messy and BLOODY place to work. Not to mention stinky from all the formaldahyde. The pay wasn't that great from what I remember. Something like $25k p/yr. That was back in '96. If you're looking for a career path, consider computer networking, systems support or techical repair. I don't have a college degree. Instead I worked my way up. I've been in systems now for 19 years and I'm a self-made millionaire at 44. Apply yourself at whatever you choose and you will succeed. But some careers do pay better than others. Best of luck.
