Can anyone help me obtain loan officer experience/training in MI? Willing to work on commission basis.?
I'm looking to change careers and would like to start on part-time basis. Any info offered would be greatly appreciated. Any suggestions on associations in MI that can offer training?

- Check with some Mortgage companies to see if they will provide you training. Of course they wont pay you, it would be like an apprentisship. Once you get the hang of it, then they will let you begin to do some loans. Call around and see who will do it.
- In some states loan officers are required to have a real estate license. There are, however, some states that don't require a license. You should call about 10-15 mortgage companies in your local area. You are seeking to find out #1 If they require you to have a license to work for them, if they do, are there companies in your local area that don't require a license. #2 If a license is required how do you go about getting one and what is required to obtain the license #3 If there are mortgage companies that have free training. #4 You should attend classes on real esate financing in your local junior colleges. #5 Get a business plan together because you will be really working for yourself. #6 You must have a very good marketing plan, without a marketing plan you will not succeed. You need a steady stream of loans each month. I hope this has been of some use to you, good luck. "FIGHT ON"
