Where can i get training for new career?

I am currently serving in the military and I am going to be getting out soon. Currently I have an aa degree in general education. I would like to getting training for a new career with out going back to college. Any advice for me ? any web sites that might give me advice. Most of my friends who are getting out are going to be getting a career in law enforcement. They will be going to the Acadmey for a few months then they will get good paying jobs. I wanted to do the same thing but I cant because I have some hearing loss in one ear and would not pass the medical.

  1. There were several web sites I found that had training programs on them. I can't remember any.But if you log onto needanerd.com they will help.Could you get into a Security firm as a Guard or like that? Sorry to hear of your hearing problem.Good Luck!
  2. Do you know what general direction you would like to go in? Restaurants have management training programs for ex military. Your degree would be helpful when applying too. Check out the major restaurant chain's websites. Have you thought about something in the airlines? Maybe a flight attendant? Maybe you could work for a temp agency for a while and see what type of things you are interested in. Maybe do some light industrial work. Get in touch with corporate recruiters for major corporations and see what they have to offer. You have options for getting a good job too, it will just take some researching and work.
  3. Are you not planning to use the degree in education? The military has a wonderful program for helping retiring military into a teaching position.
  4. What you have to do is to get your smart trascript from the military and show all what you did, also you DD 214 This paper show what kind of job you did and your rate and rank. When you get out of the military probably you get a good job
