Im 26 and want a career change, how do I become a primary school teacher?

Im 26 and have a great career and lovely family life but I want a career change- I want to become a primary school teacher in the UK. Can anyone give there advise how to do this around my current job and family life (basically I can go to classes but not to uni or anything that is full time college) is there a home course? Has anyone studied with the open university?

1. ummm... you can take online courses in the subject you wish to teach,and you can take night classes for a BS in teaching. if you want to be a principal, a degree in administration is required...
2. if u dont have a degree already then u need on, atleast a bachelors....if you want to teach primary grades then you should get it in elementary education....but u cant teach until after you finish the degree and certification....plenty of schools have online degrees for education so you can def do that...once u have some hours in college maybe try sub teaching just to get some experience in the classroom.
