Please help me with career advice!?
I've come here asking this because I've taken online career test which say i should be a pipe layer which I would hate. These are my interest: MUSIC is number one in my life. I know how to set up any string instrument, and like to play (guitar and piano mostly) a variety of instruments and would say that I am good at it. I also have experience recording and mixing music for local bands, and helping get their demos on the radio. second, I love random history facts! I know so many unusual things about history from the eastern and western world that I never have anyone to talk about it to, because no one I know shares the same intreset as me. I love education television and learning. I also am a very quick learner. I hate working in factories, and I dont like jobs that dont involve interaction with people or music. I am getting ready to go to college or tech. school and was wondering if you'd have any ideas of a career i may be interested in! Thank you!

- hmm for starters, you could start teaching music. like, a guitar teacher or something. cause that way you would be working with music and people. but thats not really a career i guess lol. or, you could take my idea and be a band photographer! it depends on how much money you hope to make. i dont know. its up to you to decide what you want to do. sorry i wasnt much help. you could always spread the word of God.
- Don't go to a tech school. You definitely sound like someone who would really benefit from a liberal arts-based education so that you can do some exploring in various subjects. Your background in recording and mixing is the area that sounds most intriguing and promising in terms of a career. You might want to start out in a liberal arts college or university that offers a B.A. in music where you can take both history classes as well as music classes. Then you could look into branching off into something like music technology or theater production. Theater production is an area that needs a strong background in history in order to design historically accurate sets. Meanwhile, the technology field, even in the area of music, could open lots of doors for you given the ever expanding role of the internet and video games for entertainment. Best of luck to you! You sound like someone who's going to really love college.
