What are some activity/snack/story ideas for children aged 2-4 old pertaining to careers and grown-ups?
I'm doing a daycare ting for my child development class. I need a good idea for two snacks and lunch, active play, art center, and some good story books. If you could help me you, I'll be eternally in your debt. *Thing, not ting

- Snack ideas: home made chex mix (cheerios, raisins, gold fish, and rice chex cereal), a fruit bowl (watermelon, bananas, melon), jello, cheese and crackers. Art center: a table set up w/ chairs, girls can decorate a princess crown, boys can make fire trucks, trains, or police cars Active play: Red light, Green light (go, go go, go, go...STOP). Story Books: anything Thomas the Train, Elmo, Dr. Seuss Lunch: my son enjoys Chicken, cucumbers, melon, tomatoes, and a piece of bread. He also enjoys: PB&J, mac and cheese, and speghetti.
- I did a farm unit while student teaching. For snacks the children cook have celery and carrots (things we grow) or string cheese or cheese and crackers (things that come from animals like cheese). Water and milk to drink are good too. You could set up a play center with farm materials so the children can play like they are in a farm. For art center you could have them sponge paint spots on a cow or paint that's water colors (because plants need water). Some good story books are: Mrs. Wishy-Washy's Farm and Baa! Moo! What will we do? Good Luck! I'm sure the children will love whatever you choose to do!
- snacks 1.oranges 2. crackers and cheese lunch, chicken noodle soup with carrots on the side active play, tag or simon says with colors, shapes on the ground, and say a color and shape and have them race to the shape. art, have them draw themself. let them finger paint ^^ they love that. Story books..i'd say Dr. Suess (you know who im talking about) i have a 3 year old and i take care of my familys kids and they are that range so thats what i do. Good luck
- do you have a cook in your center? have the children write him/her a thank you for the delicious meals he/she prepares every day and present it to him/her. Community helpers - firefighters are always a good one - invite a firefighter in and show them how they look in full gear - then put out raincoats and fire trucks for dramatic play. Ask them what they want to be when they grow up and illustrate it on piece of paper. Write what they tell you.
