PLEASE HELP: I need your opinions.?

Originally I was intending to become a business major. My career assessment tests pointed me in that area as well. I am currently a freshmen in a college 5 hrs away from my house. Here, I am thinking about doing a major in Intercultural Communications and Spanish. Next semester, I have the ability to go to Mexico for FREE the entire semester. But again, I was intending to major in Business. I can't do Business at this college because I am only of average intelligence. The business teachers here are absolutely awful so I would transfer back to a college near my house. Oh, at my current college I work on statistical programs and this could be very useful in the future. But, I probably won't be able to do this if I go back home because there are few opportunities there. What would you do?

  1. work hard and it wud become easier than u thought
  2. I would go to Mexico. That is a one in a lifetime opportunity and you have plenty of time to worry about school.
  3. take a look at what you want to do more. If you have better opportunity's (especially ones that are once in a lifetime) you should take them. If you end up not liking what you chose you can always go and take other classes later. not to mention think of what kind of jobs you can get after you finish school. think about where you would have to go to get those kinds of jobs. then make your decision.
  4. you know the intercultural courses would help a lot since we are heading into a global economy situation. do both business and the inter cultural communications, it is up to you to take control of you r own education where ever it may be .
  5. Pack your bags. Go to Mexico! There is nothing that will open your mind more than travel and the new experiences that come from being out of familiar territory. It may not answer the question of exactly what major you want, but you have all your life to be a business person. You have NOW to go on a new adventure. If you like what you are doing at school now, stick with it. Understanding statistics can take you many places jobwise and you will never regret mastering another language. No question in my mind. Free? Travel? Enjoy!
  6. I would go to Mexico . . .opportunities present themselves everyday and we have to take them. I would rather say I did this and that than wonder what if for the rest of my life!
  7. Intercultural communication sounds good, and probablly as relevant to the world of buisness as buisness itself, especially if you are planning on making it big in the business world, you need to communicate and get people on your side from a variety of backgrounds and culture. If you can't choose, go for which ever you are probablly going to get a better grade in and whichever you think is more fun. Maybe staying away from home will be a better experience. In the real world, the grade is more important to employers than the subject, your grades and qualifications are just a measure of how able you are to adapt and learn new things.
