What career would be good for me?

I've come here asking this because I've taken online career test which say i should be a pipe layer which I would hate. These are my interest: MUSIC is number one in my life. I know how to set up any string instrument, and like to play (guitar and piano mostly) a variety of instruments and would say that I am good at it. I also have experience recording and mixing music for local bands, and helping get their demos on the radio. second, I love random history facts! I know so many unusual things about history from the eastern and western world that I never have anyone to talk about it to, because no one I know shares the same intreset as me. I love education television and learning. I also am a very quick learner. I hate working in factories, and I dont like jobs that dont involve interaction with people or music. I am getting ready to go to college or tech. school and was wondering if you'd have any ideas of a career i may be interested in! Thank you!

  1. I think you would make a great roadie for some brilliant band....that way you could travel the world and learn all about different cities and cultures. It would never be boring & I'm sure you would meet a load of interesting people. And women find roadies sexy!!!
  2. I used to be a music major, and I think that it would be a great path for you to explore. Having the guitar and piano experience would make a lot of the classes very easy for you. There are also a lot of music history classes to take, and most schools require at least one semester of World Music or Non-Western Music, so you could take more and explore that passion too. There is music business, instrument building and repair, performance, education. I really think that with what you are saying about yourself you would have a blast as a music major! Start calling different colleges about it. Good Luck!
  3. You could major in Music or History maybe going the route of becoming a teacher. Or become a DJ. Just get a degree and then see what opens up for you down the road. You could join a band and play music on the side but I don't think you need a degree to do that. However you need the degree to make sure you are able to get a solid job.
