Question To Air Force Pilots?

im really keen on becoming a pilot for the air force when i leave school but i dont know if i should enroll in the airforce straight away after finishing year 12 and not doing anything else e.g. university or TAFE. But im not sure if going straight away is a good idea. Ive been thinking if something were to happen i wouldnt have experienced enough in my life. My question is to any pilots what did you do? Did you study fr another career say e.g. doctor and then later on become a pilot or what did you do? What are your thoughts? I just need some genuine guidance so i can plan out my future. So Thanks!! also what do i need to/should i study at school in order to become a pilot? Do i need to go to university?

  1. My nephew joined the military academy. After graduating, with fourth honors, he was automatically drafted into the Air Force. He is now in combat areas, and in his middle twenties only. He really loved to fly, but he cannot afford to enter private flying school. He found out the military academy is even better, bec. he is being paid while studying. How about that for a career? Maybe, after a few years in the air force, he can shift to commercial aviation for higher pay. Aussiero, stick to your dreams, and earn your wings in no time !
