Career help?

When i left school i went to college to study BTEc Health and Social care but now i want nothing to do with that unless there is a really interesting career worth doing? I since then been doing a temp job but now got rid of me. I'm back at square one and don't know what career i could persue. I want a good job which i will enjoy which don't need further training/qualifications such as college or uni. I was thinking about becoming a piecer but i really dislike injections but it interest me. Have you got any ideas? Any help is appreciated

  1. Hello, (ANS) we live in a world & society were employment and work is changing so incredibly fast that it can seem rather bewildering to know what too do next. a) OK! so you've studied in health & social care BUT how do you know there ISN'T a good job or satisfying career to be had from this? DON'T be so quick to write off a potentially good quality career (and future). Have you done any personal research into the kinds of work you could pursue with a Btec qualification. b) My sincere advise is DON'T confuse skills and ability with your personal talents, your personal gift in life. c) Do what you LOVE most , do what excites & interests you, do what your passion is in life. Why? because you only get x1 life time and time is to short to put up with a dead end job. Don't waste time doing empty meaningless drudgery work that doesn't interest you. Follow your hearts desire. d) NOT what you can just do because you have some skills and need to earn some money. e) Do what you are as a person!! i.e. work that matches your personality this is one of the ways to find work that allows you to find contentment. HERE ARE TWO BOOKS I CAN HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO YOU!! No.1 What Color Is Your Parachute? written by Richard Nelson Bolles, Published by x10 speed press, ISBN=13:978-1-58008-867, costs $18 which is about £12 . No.2 I Could Do Anything if I Only Knew What It Was? by Barbara Sher, Published by DTP, ISBN=0-440-50500-3, cost is $16 about £11.99. Hope that helps? Kindest Regards from Ivan
