Entering Senior Year of College and still unsure of what I want to do?

Changed my major to Geography and GIS because I want a masters in Urban Planning, but Law has always been in the back of my mind, but I haven't positioned myself for the law school process, I also am interested in Public Health- I feel way too young to finalize my career track at 20- argh and applications for grad/professional degrees are due in the next few months- ANY advice?

  1. You can always take off a year or two before graduate school. I too thought I was headed to law school, and changed my mind in my senior year. Urban planning will continue to be a high-demand occupation for the next ten years (in many places), so you would do well going into that field. I would investigate law more--most people don't really know what lawyers do, and a lot of it is boring. (I worked at a Legal Aid during my UG and found out first hand). Public health would also be good especially in gerontology--there are not enough people going into this field. Do some more career exploration--find a job upon graduation and continue to refine your goals. I did--took me 6 years but I finally decided on an MBA, and it was a good decision.
