Maria has completed her college degree. She has been a caregiver at a children’s day-care center for three years. She has enjoyed her job, but she feels it is time for a change. If she wants to stay in her field and advance, she has to travel and go into management. She wants more time off to spend with her family, and become more involved in community action groups. Maria would like to stay in a related field. She still likes working with children, but she also enjoys giving presentations and workshops and writing. What suggestions would you give Maria to help her with her career change? What habits would you recommend to Maria to help her with her career planning?

  1. is this a tricky question? mmmmmm
  2. I'd tell "Maria" to aspire to become a director of a day-care center or even open her own center. Working at a non-profit community center for children would give her the opportunity to care for children as well as the opportunity to get the community involved with fundraisers.
