Is distance learning a good idea or a bad idea???
I am working for a call center and 'am 12th pass. I am planning to continue my studies in disctance learning mode, but 'am bit confused whether this kind of education would be helpful in building up my career. I am planning to pursue BCA via disctance learning scheme from ICFAI. Is this is okay??? If possible please provide me with some information about disctance learning its merits and demerits.

- I do an Open University degree which is studied from home. Positives: I dont have to cut hours at work to attend college/uni I can do it in my own time to fit around commitments No social/peer pressure from other students I can go at my own pace and reread things and look things up without it disrupting a 'class' Good online facilities so you dont feel alone! Negatives: -Difficult to get in touch with tutors sometimes. -Doesnt always feel 'personalised' when you do chat to tutors -you have to be organised and strict with yourself But overall I am enjoying it and know I wouldnt be doing a degree if it was for OU!
- It's an excellent idea. I'm study via distance and let me tell you it is very convenient. A word of Caution!!! You must be disciplined. if you know that u need to have someone behind you then maybe its best to go to traditional brick and mortar college. If you do well on your own then go right ahead. PS Ensure that the college is a reputable one. Stay away from diploma mills
