Is it too late to start my dream career?
I am 21 years old and after all of high school and over 3 years of college I have finally decided what I want to do with 100 percent certainty. I want to be a top web developer (designer/programmer) and have the skills to design a crazy huge website like myspace or yahoo answers, amazon, or whatever. Is it too late for me to start? I just wish I would have started when I was 14 or 15 or something : ( It just seems like there is sooooo much to learn and it would take me forever to catch up...

- it is not too late, though the field is very competitive right now since IT jobs have been flowing overseas. Check out technical schools like Chubb or Devry that offer courses in web design and go from there. You should also investigate colleges that offer web design as a specialty - having a 4 year technical degree, as oppose to a technical school degree will open more doors. Good luck.
- No... go to a vocational/trade school just for this purpose Cheap and easy Your creative mind lasts till you die! and then 3 days after that too.
- NO it is never to late to start. Get moving :) Dont look back 20 years from now and say I shoulda woulda coulda..
- Don't fear, I started at 21 and now own a top web design company in London at 30 years old. You will need to comprehensively master the following main areas: 1. Good quality deign/layout + Graphic design 2. Various languages available. 3. Accessibility, compliance, standards. 4. Interaction with backend code and databases. 5. All areas of web marketing including optmisation A year in each subject, theory and practical is good practice. Hope this helps and good luck! J
- its not too late.....Some dont start till about that age...Um, soo much to learn? Well, so much to learn will seem alot more if one is not talented in the field....So, even a lot to learn will seem very little if you are quick. Just go for it man. I wished I went for my dream when I was 25. Instead I started working and never got a chance to get back. And I was 25 at the time. You are 4 years ahead of me. I am trying to leverage my way back in 2 years. Im going to be 30 soon.
