Should I change to a career in real estate?
I'm in school for fashion merchandising, but it seems like I'm constantly thinking about real estate and it seems that my "passion for fashion" is beginning to dwindle. I think real estate is a career that I would absolutely LOVE. Should I change career paths? Actually, I'm not really interested in SELLING real estate. I'm more interested in something like real estate appraisal. Ummm, yoji, what do you mean I've lost my passion so soon?? I'm a senior in college and I think most college students consider various careers while they are in school. Also, are you familiar with both fashion merchandising and real estate? I've been studying this for 3 years and for about a year now I've been really drawn to real estate and really bored with fashion classes. I think I'd enjoy real estate more because I'm more drawn to it. I'm very good at math and love the real estate process from what I know about it. That's why I'm interested in Real Estate. Sorry, I meant to say that's why I'm interested in real estate appraisal.

- no- real estate is a horrible career..only a fair few make it...and you prob dont have much on your side to help you. your first choice is always the best one.
- Real estate can always be a part time job while you go to school...the market is pretty flat right now so I would look into something else...too many houses not enough buyers
- There is a housing issue right now you should consider, they are starting to have some real problems selling due to the overbuilding of the past along with the mortgage companies going broke with all of the bad loans they made. Donald Trump the real estate Mogul says the next few years are going to get worse, so I would think long and hard about that move. Don't take my word for it, watch CNN in the morning and listen to what's going on.
- Try CNA it is very short class maybe six weeks. Great pay. Real Estate is not a steady income it is like selling cars.
- If youve lost your passion so soon for FM, what makes you think Real Estate will be any better? Its alot harder work and dealing with flaky customers will drive you nuts. Find something you are good at and stick to it.
