Have you ever did a major career change?

For example, you were an attorney and you decided to become a restaurant owner. For people that have done a complete career change what made you do so?

1. I went from Teaching Kindergarten to Working in a Call Center. I thought working with adults was going to be easier than working with kids. I was wrong. The children I worked with had longer attention spans than the adults I trained at the Call Center. I am working independently as a Resume Writer and Job Search Consultant in Puerto Rico. It is still in the Education field, just at my own leisure and with clients who are seeking an edge in the work force.
2. I went from farmer to computer systems analyst-programmer, to teacher, and back to farmer and retiree. I left farming to reduce physical damages but more to earn more money. Teaching was just what I felt I wanted to do, and it was not a great success. Returning to farming was somewhat a step into an active retirement.
