Full Careers

I am considering a career switch from education to sales. Is that a good idea considering the current economy?

I really need to generate more income. My current job affords a lot of financial stability, but it just doesn't pay all the well. I am concerned about the U.S. economy and the direction the US seems to be going.

  1. definitely not. americans aren't buying anything right now. look at wall street. teachers are always in demand - plus it's more fulfilling work.
  2. No it is not because see sales are going down
  3. Perhaps you should look at doing sales as a side-business. It sounds like you just need some additional income, so that would be a wise move. Also, when you consider the pay of certain jobs, don't forget to look at the benefits included... teachers get some of the best benefits (insurance, retirement, etc) plans of most jobs now. Good luck and thanks for helping to educate our society
  4. If you are interested in sales the best income is in affiliate sales on Internet. You may take the 30 days free challenge to try it and see whether it will help you..try this link.
  5. It's a great idea if you move into a work from home opportunity. Despite the economy this field is booming like crazy due to many wanting out of the rat race and want to depend on themselves.. many ppl want to stay home w/ their kids and so this gives them flexibility to make their own hours. You just need an internet connection and a good work ethic. The economy is difficult for other areas of sales and many other industries as well. Do yourself a favor and look at this site w/ an open mind - executivehomebody.com - you do need to apply.. great experience for you to earn a higher income and get some sales experience w/ a global company. Good luck
  6. not right now. Most sales jobs are cutting down benefits, so if you make more money (and that's a big if), you will have to spend much more on insurance and on IRA. You can try doing sales on the side, or doing tutoring if you're qualified. This way you get to keep your benefits and generate more income.
