What to do education wise for this career?
I want to be an Automechanic when i get out of school but I dont know what college offer courses for this field of work. Also Im in Pre-ap and Ap classes in highschool but i dont think I need them because of the careers the teachers speak about are mainly about being a doctor or lawyer or things like that. So do i need classes like that? I also wish to open a car repair shop also, what kind of education would i need for that?

- Dude you can totallly go to a top notch college for that, there's tons of trade schools who offer programs like the one you'e searching for and teach business classes, try looking up www.tstc.edu, texas state technical college they teach everything from paint, body, electronics, engine repair, robotics, everything you want and more. Good luck and don't get discouraged, you're degree will be well worth the pay, and more.
- If you want to open up a car repair shop get a Business Administration degree so that you'll know how to do the necessary accounting and attain a rudimentary understanding of economics. There are certifications for mechanics, but the most important thing would be to get hands on experience; so find someone to apprentice with or start from the bottom as someone changing oil. You will probably need to get a few ASE certifications to do the real mechanic work but if you want to be good at what you do you really do need plain old experience. Vocational schools will help you to bypass starting from the bottom if you really don't want to.
