What career path can I choose that will help people and make good money?
Hi, I am a highschool student thinking about what career path I should take. I want a job that will help people and make pretty good money. The obvious choice would be a doctor. But, I have never liked science that much, and wouldn't want to go through the dreadful process of becoming one. They have to train for about 12 years after highschool. What other jobs are there that I can plan on doing that will help people and make pretty good money. Thanks!

- you shouldnt be getting a job based on the income. get one that you like and are passionate about-not one that has a nice paycheck. In the long run youll be happier. try psychology maybe?
- I would like to tell that the Future is of IT Sector as well as the scope for the CA is also good. Either you may go for the Computers or for CA. Such as if you go for IT Sector that you have to gain high marks and the companies will directly recruit you through their annual fairs. You can get the opportunity without making any efforts.
- do something that makes you happy. you earn your money by experience so most jobs you wont be getting what you wish to be getting now. it will take years to earn a good income! but psychology is one that i know to answer your question.
- There are many ways to help people. You need to decide how you want to help people, and what people you want to help. After I completed college and left home, my Mom decided to work for a rescue mission and help people. She first ran a Free Store, where she took in clothing donations and people could come in and take bags of clothes for free. Later she ran the kitchen feeding the mission people, 3 meals per day, 365 days a year. I am a naval officer and help people everyday, directly and indirectly. I provide leadership to the people that work for me and that I work for, making them into better leaders. And I am part of the team of people that provides the blanket of security for the people of our nation. So there are many ways to help people, no matter what you do, but you need to decide what you want to do, who you want to help and everything else will take care of itself. If this is too complicated an answer, you could try the American Red Cross, or any other charity, the Peace Corps, or become a teacher, a Fireman or a Police Officer. Happy New Year and good luck in life.
- Environmentalist, Missionary, Doctor, Biologist(Marine Biologist included), Pharmacist, Translator of Languages, Chemist, or Engineer. No matter which one of those careers you want to choose your looking at at least a degree in a four year collage and your Masters Degree(except Missionary and Translator), but all of those careers make good money and help people.
