  1. One of the highest paid careers other than a doctor is chemical engineering.
  2. Large Companies and Hospital CEO's make good money!! You can study Hospital/Business Administration. But also know that degrees help you get the jobs but experience, common sense and decision making is what keeps your job.
  3. Get a bachelors degree in business administration from a reputable school first. Work to get some experience and then finish a masters degree in business. Peace and blessings!

  5. I noticed that the responses to your question were a bit lacking in content, so I had to just jump in. The first starting point for making a decision about a career in business is what you are good at, and what you enjoy doing. Considering the time and money you will invest in a business career, these are clearly the first keys to success. Next, you will want to consider how to get skills that will help you to be flexible enough that you can change your direction as needed, but can still be focused enough to be successful. Finally, you must apply yourself to whatever you do and attempt to master that skill. If you are considering college now and want to make a great bet for the future, it is often a good idea to see what the masses are doing...and then do something different. You want to look for areas where you have a natural affinity for the work, but you can also provide something unique. If you like the idea of being a doctor, but hate chemistry and biology, you need to do some serious thinking about how your skills fit with your dreams. Luckily for you, there are a ton of resources online for research. I'd spend some time on a site like Vault.com or Salary.com - sites that provide information about what different jobs are and how they work. Don't listen to the latest "lists of top jobs". People who write the lists don't have those jobs, and they don't know the ones that pay better. People don't talk about those jobs. I recently ran a search entitled "highest paid careers" - the list is wrong. I make more than anyone on that list, and they don't mention my career. If you really want to make a great career in business, do something you love, do something where you can make money whether the market is going up or down (consider bankers, commercial real estate brokers, stock brokers and insurance brokers here), or fields that have a great demand for workers (nursing is a good example). You need to figure if you are willing to live the lifestyle required to be successful and if that does not fit...consider something else. You sound way too young to be able to pick the "right" thing now...most people don't. Follow your heart and your dreams and consider how to be different from the masses - that is one proven path to success that you can live with. Most improtantly, whatever you choose to do academically be the best at it. People would prefer to hire a Magna Cum Laude English Literature major who is well respected, earned rewards and is published than a C student in a Physics program from the same university. A track record of success is a key indicator of future success. People want to know that you are smart. They will train you how to do a job. Good luck.
