Career change?
Friends, Need a your advise..I am a mainframe programer since 1998. Some how i am not interesetd to go with software programing.lost interest. I want to switch my career. I am looking for job in Non-software...I am interesetd in technical recruter postion...even salary is less, i am considering for mental peace. Don't direct me to very lower end jobs. please advise ..what would be the work load with recruiting..what are the main responsibilities..is it hard as software programing?..please advise..with any other idea...thanks

- That's a serious job change you're contemplating! Programming generally has fairly regular hours and requires working alone on a computer, coding, debugging etc. Recruiting on the other hand, requires talking to lots of different people on the telephone, screening candidates, setting up interviews, following up to see how it went, and then when you close a deal getting all the contracts in place etc. It can be a good paying field, but I don't know if it will fit your requirement for mental peace.
- Have you considered working at home doing medical transcription? It pays well and there are a lot of jobs available to qualified MTs.
