- Why don't you call some local veterinarians and see if you can come and interview them in person? They'd probably be happy to share information with you and might show you around the facilities -- I think you'd get more out of this by meeting someone face to face at their office. Depending on where you live, you might also try interviewing a couple vets: one who works more with pets and small animals, and another who works more with large animal. For the first one, people would mostly be bringing their pets to the office. For the second, the vet would often be traveling to the farms or stables. If you are in a larger urban area with a zoo, you might even be able to interview a vet who works with alot of exotic species. That would be another very different experience. Good luck! I'll bet you are going to have an interesting project. Who knows, maybe you will even be able to get a lead for a part time job out of this if you are lucky.
