Longest career in education?
I am 64 years old. Mr. J.K. Patel was my teacher in The Calcutta Anglo-Gujarati School, India. He joined the school as a teacher in 1954 and is still continuing to serve. At present, he is 80 years old and is the principal of the school. I want to ask (a) Do you know of any teacher having such a long career in the field of education? (b) Do you know any teacher who continues to serve at the age of 80 years?

- well it depends upon that teacher...possible he love to teah and when somebdy is involve in somthig that he or she likes then that person dont liik for nebdy not his age not his health not hia carrier
- WoW !! , he has been teaching for almost 54 years . a) Frankly speaking , I dont know . However , Mr . J . K . Patel is the first . b) Many of people i know who are teachers , after around lets say 15 - 25 years of teaching , they have started their own business . Take for instance my current high school Maths and Physics teacher , he said that he is thinking of retiring . I must say that he loves teaching students .
- I know a lecturer in BASE (where i go for IIT coaching) who was a professor in IIT previously & is retired. Even he seems to be of age 70-80 years. His name is Dr. Santhanam & he now presently teaches for pre-IIT students for JEE. Well, that may be close to your teacher's numbers...
