Is anyone here a Financial Planner? Help me start my career on the right path...?
In september I'm going back to school to get an MBA specialized in financial services from York University (Canada's best business school). I want to be a financial planner/consultant, what are the steps I need to take to get there? ALSO, what is the salary like?

- I am not sure the steps in Canada but in the US, You need to get either a CFA (certified financial adviser)or CFP (certified financial planner)after you complete school. Both of those require some classwork but primarily its just about passing the test and getting licensed. As far as salary, Its usually a commission based position so it depends on your own personal productivity. A successful financial planner in the US will make anywhere from 150k on up.
