I am currently in year 11. I wanted to become a pilot, getting training through the airforce but i am beginning to become very doubtful due to the commitment and long term stuff that comes along with it. I am good at computers and maths and soso at science. I would like an office job working with people involving some sort of technology. i am after a fairly interesting job with long term prospects. please help...in need of some guidance Thanks

  1. If you can take going to college, construction or civil engineering. Both pay well, in need and you will be working inside and outside.
  2. Both are good. IN the end, follow your heart.. go wherever your interest is first. You may end up making good money working on computers, but always yearning to be a pilot. I know.. I did! My best followed his heart and now is captain flying international routes in 747-400's.
  3. People's opinions change as they get older, just do the best with your studies and your options will be good. Nicki http://www.diversehampers.co.uk
  4. First you need to ask yourself - 10 years from now, if everything goes exactly to plan, what do you imagine yourself doing. Picture your job, your life, your environment, and the people - imaginary or not - around you. Imagine the BEST possible scenario - don't think about the challenges - just think about what you're doing. That's it. Something tells me you won't see yourself sitting at an office job with "long term prospects." Once you see yourself - and it is truly a future that makes you happy - you do whatever the hell it is you need to do to get there. Whether it involves "commitment" and/or "long term stuff" - you have to think of it all as a "means to an end." You'll get there...
