Best Navy careers?
I am considering a career in the Navy, what are the best jobs in the Navy for a person who wants to own his own business after serving in the Navy? And will the navy pay for the training I need to learn to know how to operate a business?

- while you might not find one that fits the bill completely you might get experience in some aspect. Store keepers, (SK or AK) handle getting supplies, large inventories to account for, some handle budgeting aspects for sometypes of supplies. Dispursing clerks (DK) if they haven't finished doing away with them. handled money accounting, travel funds. they did away with most , as they stuck payroll into computers at one big central location. MS (cooks), handle the food ordering and cooking cleaning ect. and keeping it in budget!!!, so while people like getting good food, they really get mad when the budget for the month ran out and there ain't nothing good to eat. they also usually run the barracks, so lodging type experience might be included. (CB's) builders if you looking for that type experience, and they'll build about anything large and small. any rate will help if its in the area that you want to go into business for, as it gives experience with the field. and as far as people skills/ supervising any rate as soon as you start moving up in rank some. As far as traing they will pay toward courses at least 75% of tuition if its a regular school/accredited institution. For correspondence type classes there are plenty of FREE manuals you can order to self educate. But regular out in town/anywhere by mail courses, you go through the same people you would to take college classes and have them pay for it, but for correspondence they pay you after you complete the course satisfactorily
- an electrician mate,, an electrician in the civilian world can average about 65,000 per year,
- ET Electronics Technician, EM Electrician Mate, GSE Gas Turbine Systems Tech. Electrical, EN Engineer
- the best job is one that YOU will be happy about going to into work for every morning for twenty years. While the military does not offer specific training for operating your own business, they do offer workshops that can steer you in the right direction.
