Interested in Criminals.?
I have always found myself interested in criminals, didnt matter what kind of criminal, but mainly I was drawn to all types of killers. I liked reading about them, studying about them, trying to figure out what was going through their minds, etc. Two of my best classes in school was Sociology and Psychology, loved both of them. What I am wondering is, is there such a job (realistically) that would allow me to study criminals, maybe write reports on them, help them, study them, etc. I know I dont want to be a Psychologist and I have no idea what is really is a Sociologist actually does and if they are even sought after. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also if anyone knows of a career aptitude test that I could take that would actually go in depth like listing jobs, one that is either free or doesnt cost that much, I would appreciate that too. All I could find were sites where they would tell you what area you would most likely fit in. Thanks

- Yes there are jobs in this field. Get a double degree in Criminology and Psych and head to the FBI academy. Criminal Profiling is what you are wanting to be. Very interesting area. I was a criminology major and worked for the state for about 15 yrs but got burned out so I quit but I still love watching the New Dectives, FBI Files etc. Real crime stories are interesting to read to. Murder By the Book is another good series. Contact you dean of majors to see if you can find out how to get to the FBI academy. Best of Luck
