I am a high school student, just finished Army Basic Training. Do I qualify for Education Career Stabilization
Okay this question is mainly for those who's in the Army or someone who knows the info. And please don't give any political insight I just want a straight answer. Also I'm split ops and is in a Reserve's Signals Battalion. Army did not lower their standards. And split ops means that only high school student on their Junior or Senior year can join as long as they graduate. I'm only asking this cause I want to go to college. If you don't got an answer, don't post. Omg. Leave your opinions about the military to yourself plz!!!!!!!

- How in the He*l did you finish basic training while still in high school? You need a high school Diploma to be in the Army, or has the Army lowered its standards so low that they will now take people still in high school.
- until you complete your AIT you wont qualify for any of the additional education benefits. right now the only thing you should be focusing on is graduating high school. now for ol dan .... the army hasnt "lowered" standards. the split option that is being asked about here has been around for as long as ive been in the army (13+ yrs). its simply a way for motivated juniors to enlist early, go to basic during their summer between jr and sr year and then go to their AIT once they have graduated. it takes a very motivated and focused individual to do this as far as im concerned you should be thanking anyone who has the intestinal fortitude that you lack to do it. if you have further questions or want a complete list of qualifying benefits in your situation email me.
- While most teenagers spent their summer vacation hanging out with friends, going to the beach or working odd jobs, many teenagers from all over the country traveled to Fort Benning to do the toughest job of all: become a Soldier. They signed up for the Army’s Split-Training Option, which allows high-school students to go to basic combat training during the summer of their junior year and complete advanced individual training after they graduate high school. And instead of being in a place where they’re the oldest and “seniors rule,” the “split-ops” are the youngest among men who learn lifesaving lessons and killing techniques from some of the military’s toughest drill sergeants. Pvt. David Molina, 17, of Windsor, Calif., said basic training is fun and better than going to the beach. There are no bikinis, or females for that matter – just lots of sweaty guys getting smoked or doing lots of push-ups, learning to find their way through the woods, clearing their sinuses in the gas chamber and going to ranges over and over again to learn how to fire a weapon to make “one shot, one kill.” Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American GI. One died for your soul, the other for your freedom. "History teaches that when you become indifferent and lose the will to fight someone who has the will to fight will take over."
