Who do you file a complaint to against a university?

What I am specifically asking. is who statewide ---Texas or nationally can you complain to. This year in career development, I wanted to ask the instructor on advice of negotiating salary increases at an interview or performance review. After being stood up twice by the instructor, I decided to find what I could the night before in the book. The only help that I got from the book was a line telling me that I should negotiate Direct Deposit. In this day in age an employer almost looks down on you if you dont have DD. This is one example of many I am faced with at the University of North Texas. I have bought a domian called untcomplaintdepartment.com which I plan to use as a message board for other students to post complaints but I need a roadmap to go further past the dean as my meeting with her just promptly ended with a quick "im sorry you feel that way" How can you file a complaint that affects accredidation status? Is there any statewide govt bodies in texas for this?

  1. Call a politician that deals with that University and say you always vote for them and you need their help
  2. Unfortunately I won't be able to answer your question in full, but you need to be careful with your website. If you defame someone or some company, regardless whether it is true or not, you can be sued for defamation. There's only a few countries that allow that kind of freedom and you're not in one of them (sorry). So if you don't want to risk being sued - check your local defamation laws to see if your website will contravene those. Secondly - all complaints should start off internally and as my parents always said - start at the top! So your university proctor needs to hear about your complaint. Firstly I would try phoning and emailing your complaint. Make sure your complaint is objective, never swear, be calm, tell the facts, try and see it from the other person's point of view. Make sure you know what is it you want achieved. Otherwise, good luck.
