  1. I hear Wal-Mart is hiring
  2. 1. List your 10 favorite things to do. 2. List the 10 industries that you think are 'cool'. 3. List the 10 biggest employers in the city where you live. 4. List all the Fortune 500 companies based in your state. 5. Write down the companies that your family and friends work for today. (10-20 companies) You now have a list of 50-75 companies... go to each of their websites and search the "Careers" sections to see what jobs excite you.
  3. work on your resume and make it an excellent one to get job, which suits your interest. You should take the help of consultant to make an attractive resume. Then You should submit your resume to leading jobsite like www.monster.com, www.careerbuilder.com. Also you should consult local placement consultant in your area. In the meantime, look out for an option to work online. Although it wont pay you like full time job but you can make extra cash in your spare time. I am a part time worker doing work online at home, so I would like to share a link where you can make $600-$1500 in a month working at home. The work need to be done is posting/answering a discussion and uploading any photo/image of your interest. For details visit http://ommc.blogspot.com I will publish few more genuine site in couple of weeks, where you can earn money. You may also write to me at talkofmoney@rediffmail.com (Note: When u are planning for a home based online work, be careful because most of them are scam and ask you to pay initial money. never pay money to any such site.)
  4. Look into some of the larger companies that have headquarters in your area - or where you would like to live. Many large corporations have programs for recent grads, where you receive training and begin to gorw your way up the corporate ladder. Large retail stores, restaurants, architects, oil companies and banks have programs like this. Think about what industry would interest you and then start searching for large comanies. Also - use the big search engines, monster, yahoo jobs, career builder. Another great place to start is to contact some employment agencies - many large corporations hate dealing with the headache of searching for and finding qualified employees. Oh - one other idea - look into professional associations. I graduated with a Communication Degree, so many of my jobs searches were through PRSA (public relations society of america) Most large cities have their own branch and they all have job listings.
