looking for career job search at Verizon building at 540 broad st. Newark, NJ 07102?
Verizon is recruting for apprentice technician positions at the above address on saturday 02 2006. I'm unable to attend that date. I tried their URL address and couldn't get in to schedule an appointment . Can you help me please.

- The phone number is for Verizon at that address is (973) 649-9900. You could try calling that number although I don't know who will be answering on a Saturday. They only have 2 Newark jobs listed on their Website, and this isn't one of them (wonder why). I couldn't find a contact form or email address for the HR people. Check out the benefits and other material they provide for job seekers, as well as the general information about the company. THEN, call early on Monday, and ask to speak with HR (or with whomever is responsible for recruiting). This sounds like an entry level job that requires a large quantity of people coming in and being trained, and I bet they still need people. You won't have been the only good candidate who wasn't able to be there on Saturday. Ask how you can apply for one of those jobs, and if they only recruit for that job on Saturdays, ask when the next recruiting event will be. While you're talking with them, ask about other "apprentice" and/or "entry level" jobs they may have open. Mention things you saw when visiting their Website. Demonstrate how interested you are in Verizon, even though you weren't able to attend the Saturday event. Good luck!
