PLEASE Help!!! I need ideas for an essay to get accepted into a program...?

Hi, Okay I'm applying for the Entrepreneurial Leadership Institute at The Center for Rural Development in Somerset, KY... Basically it's an intensive, weeklong program focused on developing creativity, teamwork, and business skills. Participants will be divided into teams with daily "apprentice like" competitons. I need some advice from you guys because I really MUST get into this program...it's not even an option! Here's the problem--- It says "Briefly describe the type of business you would like to start." I need a unique type of business that would really help my community as well. I want my answer to stand out. Any ideas???? Please help! Also please help with these questions as well--- 1. Please list you extracurricular activities -- high school, community, church, hobbies. (What would look good) 2.Please list you work related activities for which you have been paid. (I don't have a job... what else looks good) 3. What are your favorite classes in High School? (What classes would look the best?) 4. What are your career goals? (I want to either be an engineer or a doctor of some sort... I also want to go to graduate school) 5. Briefly describe the type of business you would like to start. (I NEED HELP WITH THIS ONE THE MOST) 6.Why are you interested in starting a business. (MAJOR HELP PLEASE) 7.Why do you think you can succeed in starting a new business? (What qualities look good) what should I say??? PLEASE HELP... thank you!

  1. any non-profit business that sets itself up as an advocacy center for (for example) abused children or drug dependancy. Only you know what your extracurricular activities are. What do you do? Summer jobs, like cutting grass, selling at a flea market with mom and dad or helping someone in their business or home. favorite classes are the ones you actually like. You can't impress someone with fake answers. Be yourself on this thing because it sounds like you're trying to hard to impress. career goals - sounds good...tell them that why do you want to start a business? how good at it do you think you'd be? how do you want to help people with your business? is it all about the money for you? What would your friends and family think about your business? #7. You should be honest. Pick a business that you like to go to now (comic book store, wal-mart, small bakery - it doesn't matter) and look at that business with an objective eye. What is it about that business that stands out the most for you in a positive way? Take a notebook with you and list PROS on one side and CONS on the other and start free-thinking your answers.
  2. Alright, I find your question disturbing. If this program is to foster creativity and entrepreneurial leadership, you should be fired up with your own juicy ideas. If you just want to regurgitate stuff or worse, try and write what you think the committee wants to hear (bad move, sport), then you really have no business trying to get into this program. You will be outed for the fraud that you are in about 5 seconds. Reguritation and brown nosing is more of an MBA tract, but even with that they still expect you to have your own ideas.
  3. Sorry if this offends you, but i think you have to think first about what you want in your life and which are your real skills. i say that because a leader dont make that kind of questions, he already knows its answers (trying to persuade another people with some false answers is not good for you and for them niether), sorry if this isn“t what you wanted read.
