PLEASE HELP!!! I need ideas for an essay to get accepted into a program..?
Hi, Okay I'm applying for the Entrepreneurial Leadership Institute at The Center for Rural Development in Somerset, KY... Basically it's an intensive, weeklong program focused on developing creativity, teamwork, and business skills. Participants will be divided into teams with daily "apprentice like" competitons. I need some advice from you guys because I really MUST get into this program...it's not even an option! Here's the problem--- It says "Briefly describe the type of business you would like to start." I need a unique type of business that would really help my community as well. I want my answer to stand out. Any ideas???? Please help! Also please help with these questions as well--- 1. Please list you extracurricular activities -- high school, community, church, hobbies. (What would look good) 2.Please list you work related activities for which you have been paid. (I don't have a job... what else looks good) 3. What are your favorite classes in High School? (What classes would look the best?) 4. What are your career goals? (I want to either be an engineer or a doctor of some sort... I also want to go to graduate school) 5. Briefly describe the type of business you would like to start. (I NEED HELP WITH THIS ONE THE MOST) 6.Why are you interested in starting a business. (MAJOR HELP PLEASE) 7.Why do you think you can succeed in starting a new business? (What qualities look good) what should I say??? PLEASE HELP... thank you!

- u should be true to yourself...tell them the truth and what you really think sometimes other ppls opinions are not helpful to such things like that....u should put what u really think u want...like in the business thing wat most do you like? ask yourself not others...some organization pick ppl by their personality not just brains and looking good
- well first u like being a doctor so put that and u can start a business of helping oput children and if they say why you can say becuz yoyu like helping children and its a good thing for ppl to help others and tthat u no pppl will help and ur favortie classes can be nursing or any cllass that u have that has to do with helping people and the hobbies can be like that u save money and you give the homeless or to the hpstipal? does this help? srry if it doesn't plz email me @ hotstuffym@yahoo.com
- Okay, the essay has just about nothing to do with getting in. I applied to two privat high schools and the only way I got the answers done was by my mom telling me they have almost nothing to do with it. All the essays and those queations are for are to see what type of a person you are and if you would fit well into their program. So, I listed/wrote about the things I do/wanted as honestly as possible and GOT INTO BOTH. It isn't about the essay, if they want you they'll take you regardless of the essay. You don't need stuff that looks good, they know that trick so if you write down a bunch of lies and then get there asnd slip up you're just making things worse. BE HOnEST. Here is how mine would look. 1. Please list you extracurricular activities -- high school, community, church, hobbies. Softball, Rec. Rock Climbing, Volunteering for my community, student council. 2.Please list you work related activities for which you have been paid. I have been a babysitter for shildren on my street. 3. What are your favorite classes in High School? My favorite classes are, English and Science because I want to be a journalist or doctor when I grow up. 4. What are your career goals? My career goal after graduating high school is to go onto a good college with a great pre-med program, earn my degree in biology and become a Neuroligist. 5. Briefly describe the type of business you would like to start. The type of buisness I would like to start is a daycare. It would be open five days a week from 7-6 and hep working parents with no place for their children to go. In addition to following state curriculum it would also be a fun place for kids to look forward to. 6.Why are you interested in starting a business. I have always had an interest in children etc... 7.Why do you think you can succeed in starting a new business? I have many qualities including leadership, and....just list your qualities.
