How can I get started in a career as an HR Consultant?

I just finished my Master's program in Organizational Development and I wanted to know how I can get started. Any suggestions?

  1. You're over qualified. Sorry. Must be hi school grad - no college. Seriously, some of the dumbest people in organizations are in hr. They must have a singular fondness for regulations and enforcement. What nasty niche. Write a rules template for an organizational structure and use it as a marketing tool. Discuss you approach to benefits enforcement. Do not send your stuff to the hr dept. Send it to corporate officers and board members.
  2. Take lots of heroin and learn to get paid for doing nothing. Then you'll be put in charge of the division which does nothing but lay other people off... which wouldn't even be necessary if they just didn't waste money on said division in the first place. Make sure to practice not laughing out loud when you randomly cancel people's vacation time and tell them to look for their paycheck in the basement, in the file cabinet behind the watercooler... filled with rats.
  3. See if you can contact ozfan98 they seem to know a great deal about this profession
  4. First of all think what you have to become 1) A core HR Consultant or 2) A recruitment HR Consultant To start up as a Core HR Consultant you need to be well versed with the HR activities in companies. to start up as a recruiter consultant you need to be very perfect on the various technologies Information Technology is growing and be well versed with all the technologies. Join as an trainee recruiter first and then grow up.
