Professional career search???????????
Has anyone ever worked with a professional career search agency???? They say that they can help me find my new career, but want me to pat $4,000. I know "head-hunters" charge employers 30%, so am I really saving $$$??? Serious answers only please. Thanks.

- Don't pay. A legitimate agency would get their money from the employer. You do NOT have to pay to get a job. If you still have any doubts about them, research them, and check with the BBB.
- NO WAY! Why pay $4000.00 for what you can do yourself. They build you up, then tear you down, and you will be disappointed. They use the ' spaghetti against the wall" technique. and will place you in a job---any job--- just to justify their fee. If an employer wants you bad enough they will gladly pay the fee.
- Always make a habit of keeping your money! Find a placement company that gets to employer to pay for you. The employer will value you more and by the way they won't be expecting you to bring your own stapler or paper clips to the office because you paid to get the job! I actually have had that happen!? I had one think if they e-mailed me at home I would save them on printing costs so I got smarter-got a yahoo address and forwarded it back to the office where I printed what they needed.
- You would be much better advised to send out your resume to companies that search for employees for employers. This won't cost you a dime... And I have a hard time with any company that charges the employers to find someone for a position AND charges people to find them work.... It smacks of conflict of interest to me and I would not trust such a company....
- don't pay dude! They get paid by the other end, this is definitely a rip off. You DO NOT pay to get a job, the employer pays the agency. Why don't you try http://gsx1.com/freeaptitest.htm it's an aptitude test to find out what suits you. It's free and easy to do hence not a big deal but sometimes they do offer jobs so you never know. There might be a few more tests here http://www.job--listings.info/ you'll definitely find more job finding resources there, mostly free, hope I helped, cheers Good Luck.
