What is a "Photonics Engineer"??
I know that they work with lasers and and photon related stuff. but what exactly?? I've tried looking on career cruising, and wiki but they're not very helpful. If someone is a "photonics engineer" could you please help me?? it's for a school project and i need to have a really good understanding of what they do cuz i have to teach the class about it. Thank youu!!

- I know it's about understanding the theories and properties of light in use for engineering applications. Lasers, fiber optics, LED's....

The other two links are the real course materials that you could use to teach an undergraduate engineer how to actually be a photonics engineer and should provide enough material to teach about thirty classes on photonics (;>)
