Id like to apply for a career development loan?

Id like to apply for a CDL but I have bad credit and no assets. I was wondering if other people with bad credit have successfully applied for a CDL and if so which bank did you choose? I was also wondering if anyone knew how bad your credit has to be before they turn your CDL application down?

1. I didn't have a bad credit rating, but I wouldn't recommend Barclays for a CDL - they're useless!
2. I had no assets and got a CDL from HSBC. But beware - I ended up feeling pressurised to take more money on a monthly basis than I thought I would need in order to get the loan. It has truly been a pig of a job to pay it back, and oddly, I feel in some ways that it limited my career options. Instead of finishing my post-graduate degree and looking for some work experience in an area I wanted to work, I immediately had to start temping, and it has taken a very, very long time to get where I wanted to be career-wise and to pay the bloody thing back. I'd seriously think if you can fund your change in any other way - part-time work combined with work experience, an OU degree etc. Mine was a curse to me.
