Starting a Web Development career at 55? Possible?
Starting a Web Developer at 55 years old possible? I was working as a data entry guy for 6 years. I am thinking starting a web development career . I was thiking starting with asp.net or php. I only have some XP knowledge and some light html basics. I have no idea from where I should start? A few friends closer to my age who got laid off are using the VS 2005 studio 2005. Wonder what is the best bet for me? I have no programming experience. Only data entry. Thanks

- You can do so, but there is a fair amount of technology to learn. Study HTML, and page preparation software such as Dreamweaver. Consider taking courses at a local college or junior college.
- Once you acquire the knowledge you need to do web development, your age shouldn't matter, especially if you'll be running your own business. All that matters is that you are able to do the work, do a good job, and be good at getting (and retaining) clients.
