How much do lawyers who work for hospitals make (salary)?

I will be graduating with a JD law degree and also a Masters in Health Administration, making health law the area of choice for my career. Does anyone know the range of jobs for lawyers working in/for hospitals as in-house counsel? I have tried to find answers online but could not find any. Thanks!

  1. Try going to CareerBuilder.com and Monster.com and see if there are any postings for those positions. A salary range will often be included in the posting. My mother worked for a hospital for 20 years, but not as a lawyer. My educated guess is starting salary as a lawyer will be $55 to $60k per year, but that will vary significantly depending upon which state and the size of the hospital. Good luck to you!
