What is a good Career for me?

I am very social and love working with people and kids. I have been planning to become a teacher of Elementary. I love to travel though and I want to travel more than anything. I will be attending college soon. I also love photography. My mom was a photographer and she says that you can't depend on photography as a career. I have also thought about working for a cruise line. What do you think.

  1. How about being mathematician?
  2. have you spoken with your guidance counselor?
  3. become a cult leader of children and people because of your love for working with people. I would also recommend a mass suicide to up your street rep.
  4. How about Hospitality and Tourism Management? (That's a real college major). Check it out: http://www.worldwidelearn.com/online-education-guide/business/hospitality-management-major.htm You could manage a luxury hotel in the Caribbean, be an Event Planner for a Cruise Ship, or some such thing. How cool!
  5. You might enjoy working for an airline. Not only are there Flight Attendant and Customer Service jobs, but if you major in business you could work in the office and still travel. You could combine your love of photography and travel and become a photographer for travel magazines, but hat is a long shot. A cruise line would be fun, but you work 7 days a week with no days off, for months at a time. No life, but fun for a few years.
  6. Taco Bell has good employee discounts
  7. You could be a traveling photo-journalist while teaching English as a Second Language to children or adults in other countries. You don't have to narrow it down to one job--you can work 2 part-time jobs, work one job while doing volunteer work, or do one type of work for a couple of years, then try something else (most people end up doing this unintentionally). An employment counsellor can give you an interest and aptitude test that will help you to see where your strengths are and what you would enjoy doing. Good luck
