Whose career do you think dropped the farthest... Tom Cruise or Brittney Spears?

Does Tom take the prize after his couch-jumping antics and subsequent movies underperforming (see MI:3)? Or is it Brittney, with her (possibly) post-partum rampage of partying, head shaving, and tattooing? And who deserves our sympathy more?

2. As low as Tom (Insane) Cruise has sunk, Britney's crotch-flashing, head-shaving, suicidal antics brought her down to an entirely new level of celebrity infamy. I don't sympathize with either one of them.

11. Britney's career has dropped the farthest and will continue to do so. If you look at her record sales since the beginning, they have constantly went down. Tom Cruise, with all of his quirks, has his good looks (Britney, I think is very UGLY - with or without hair) and he will always continue to make good movies. He is very talented. ANd NEITHER one deserves sympathy. They chose their paths and Britney, always chose to make sure the media was around whenever she went out.

16. Britney has dropped further for now, but I think Tom's still on his long, long drop. The couch-jumping was just the beginning. This is one crazy dude who believes that aliens live in volcanoes and Xenu is his master. He is also being acclaimed as the 'Messiah' of Scientology, which is basically a pyramid-selling scheme dressed up as a cult. I think Scientology is going to be a huge source of scandals in the next few years. Britney looks to be in a worse state now, but with the right help and the right will, she has a chance of getting better. I think she deserves more sympathy because she's obviously having a nervous breakdown. Tom, meanwhile, knows exactly what he's doing; and he's promoting a frightening cult that takes people's money and damages them emotionally. That's far worse. I have no sympathy for him at all.

18. I have to disagree with everyone. I think Tom Cruise is in worse trouble. A lot of people still love Britney and she could definately make a come back. From sinking this low people want to see her come back up and talk about and, everyone is going to want to hear her music and hear her talk about what happened. I feel bad for Britney because the industry got to her so hard. Tom Cruise I don't, it's his own fault for not coming out and his supressed homosexuality got to him.

Because I feel it is not worth keeping ourselves updated on these issues with celebrities because u never know their marketing strategies !! U will know what I mean if u think twice.

21. Brittany is a complete mess and isn't worth talking about because she couldn't really sing in th 1st place! Tom Cruise is still a GREAT actor and has done a lot of good movies. I forgiven him for Mission Impossible 3 & War of the Worlds. The Firm, The Last Samurai, Jerry McGuire, Minority Report, Top Gun, Mission Impossible 1 & 2, Collateral, Interview with the Vampire, AFew Good Men, Rain Man, Born on the 4th of July....etc...... He deserves a little slack!

27. At the moment Britney's career looks a little shaky but I still think she could pull it back with a lot of work, if she wants to after everything she's gone through. I'd try and support her because I think she's had too much unnecessary slating in the press and deserves a break. As for Tom...he's not ill, just nuts. He's seemingly brainwashed Katie Holmes and become the main spokesperson for that nutters cult he's part of. He might be able to act but I can't stand him as a person, I have absolutely no respect for the guy and his messed up views. I wouldn't go see his movies now or in the future. If anyone deserves a second chance I would personally go with Brit, Tom brought it all on himself. Britney never really had the chance to control what she wanted to do because she's been in the business from such a young age with her management etc controlling her every move...besides, I like her songs lol.
28. Tom Cruise has talent and with the right script can still come back up. But Britney has alot of competition cause there are alot of new young singers with better voices then hers. I don't think she will ever (career wise) be able to rise again. Therefore I have sympathy for her cause she has made all the wrong decisions with her life and is suffering because of it now, whereas Cruise is still cruising along.............

Although Cruise is viewed by many to be a little "off", his movies still draw crowds, his name still carries weight in Hollywood, and I would gladly trade my life for his.
