Psychology career?

I am considering a career in Psychology. I would like information from current/former psychologists as to the pros/cons of the career, wages I can expect to make (in clinical psychology or counseling), degree requirements, and any other information you may find necessary or beneficial for me to know (ex. outlook for the profession, places I can expect to find jobs, etc). thanks

  1. The field is a really interesting yet challenging kind of work. You can make roughly 40K a year with your master's in counseling starting out. However, a bachelor's degree in this field will get you no more than a $9/hr position as a tech or case manager at a place. The outlook is really good, especially with a bad economy and the after effects. You really need a master's to make any kind of money in this field though.
  2. If you have an alternate income....It's interesting..
