David has sustained an injury which could leave him on the sidelines for some time. As for victorias american dream career what can i say its a joke at best. Are the owners at la galaxy a tad worried now at their investment in golden balls I should have said their american adventur. Here in the uk they are worshiped like gods by some sections of our society, so i would expect them to continue to feature in our country,s tabloid for some time to come

dear Sir/Madam, I feel I must agree with you on the Beckham and etc, question.personally I feel "The Vibe", has totally gone with the couple I think David should get back to what he does best, without all the "Flash, and stuff. I mean, What are they "Both" trying to tell Mr Joe public"?. All right "It was A Buzz in the beginning, however i think "Like a Firework", It really has turned Into "A Bit of a Damp squib. I really mean this when I say, "I am not the jealous type< never have been all my life. I can say that with "Hand on Heart". Victoria's rejoined the spice girls...she's landed a part in ugly betty...lest we forget she's bringing up 3 children. As for David he's set up football academys for kids in Britain and the US. More shirts with his name on sell throughout the world than any other. They've both got perfume ranges...Victoria does clothes. I think they've got quite a lot going for them to be honest.
I'm from Europe, and the Beckhams are EXTREMELY popular here. I can understand why David is so loved, he's a very good soccer player, but I can't even think of anyone more meaningless than Victoria. She just bathes in her husbands fame and money. Yes, I know, she was a Spice Girl, but come on!!!! The woman can't even sing! Not to mention how she "dances"...

It's hardly short-lived. They have been top A-list celebs for at least 10 years (and are possibly the two most famous people in the world right now). They both have extensive entries in Wikipedia. They are among the wealthiest people. Pretty good by any standards.

I have never understood all the hype about Beckham in the first place. I don't think he is anything like as good as some of the great players of the past like Pele, Best, Bobby Charlton, Bobby Moore, Johann Cruyff to name but a few. He seems to have been in decline for several years now and, from what I gather, spent much of his time at Real Madrid on the substitutes bench. The Americans will expect value for money and it doesn't look as though they are getting it at the moment. As for his wife, aargh!

Short lived? Where have you been the last decade or so. I think he must be nearing the end of his football career but he does seem to be doing some good things for kids. I hope to see Victoria smile before they disappear from the tabloids altogether.
