Can you fulfill someone elses dream if you sacrifice your own??????????

Ok tell me if u nurture a dream within and after being disheartened you feel that its better to fulfil someone elses dream(career choice) and set on to pursue it just because you respect them so much that can't say no. Can you still succeed at it knowing that this is not actually your calling????????(asking for a friend)

1. Yeah it is. People aften think they have one dream and thats it. Is your dream to make your partner happy? ( assuming it's ur partner ) There are many things in life and you can enjoy most of them. You need to ask yourself if the other persons dream you are going after is something that can make you happy, and if the dream you were originally after liekly to be reality.
2. yes..... u can you fulfill someone elses dream if you sacrifice your own ............... but it shouldnt have to be this way....... unless its for love - like a parent sacrifising their dream in order to see their child acheive his/her dream.

No i cant, even if i gave it a chance and tried if it isnt what i like and what i want, i wouldnt be able to do it perfectly and enjoy it. everyone was born with one life to live, i got mine, and i have my dreams,,who would fulfill them for me if i didnt do and would that person enjoy living my dreams not his/her ??
4. If the sacrifice comes to a good cause then it can fullfill their dream. Take for example the show Big Brother here in the Philippines, in this show there is an occasion called "sacrifice" where in you have to do something against your will and you can have a special price for a foundation or someone. A celebrity in Big Brother's house even shaved off her head and gave 100,000 pesos to her father.
5. Giving is always better than receiving and the rewards for being selfish are fake. If this person is worht the sacrifice or you love them that much than you know what to do.
6. Don't do it. If that "someone else" cares about you, what they should want is for you to be happy and for you to follow your own dream. The rest will come. Tell your friend to follow his/her own dreams and not someone else's. In the end, he or she will realize that it's the right decision.
7. I think you must nurture your own dreams and give support freely with love, the quality of your giving will only come if you are happy with your own place on this planet.
