please help me reach my dream career!!?
not sure how to word my question, so if you would, bare with me for a minute please! i want to sign up for intensive drawing classes. i already take an art class once a week, but once a week isn't enough for me. i really want/need how to learn to draw like an artist. i want to go to a local art school by january next year (2008) but in order to even apply, i need a portfolio of ten items(i hadnt dove into all the art classes at my high school, because i always assumed i'd go into culinary arts until i figured out what i want to really do. now junior year has already started, i cant switch classes for this semester, and i know what i want to do as a career! but i'm far behind!) please help me if you can! if you need more explaining you can email me. i really need help reaching my dream! thank you oh- what do i exactly want help on? if you know of any art places that maybe are.. designed to help people in my situation? or just stories on how you became an artist. anything really. :)

- What do you need help with? Other than getting together a porfolio? If you need an art school, google it. And help with your "situation"...? You've got one more year of HS, right? Finish HS, then go to art school. And as far as being behind, draw in your spare time. Practice.
- 1) its never to late 2) being an Artist is hard work 3)if you want something u never had u have to do something u have never done before 4) just draw 5) when taking an art class for ever hour in class , work at least 30min out side of class(art is hard work) also, find out if the area u live in has an "Arts Council" they usually have lots of info Museums and Galleries often have art classes go to art openings, and meet people--- this is a great place to meet artists , and get information or a possible apprenticeships. book: Drawing on the right side of the brain
