  1. just tri a bunch till u luv it u no
  2. Choose something that you would look forward to waking up every morning and saying, "Yes, I can't wait to get to work." I'm not saying work is always fun, but be sure you could do it for a lifetime.
  3. after i got my degree in science, i found that government has interesting jobs that paid OK, but most of all, the one i had was interesting...it the kind that you don't mind going to work..but not consume you......
  4. Take some time and follow your dreams. They will come to you. I have recently resigned from my profession to explore other options and have gone back to waiting tables for a while to clear my head and try some things out. I have found that the best way to explore your options is to go out there and meet people in the field. They are very helpful. Good luck!
  5. dream career? lol - then I'd be sitting around watching hockey all day and get somebody to pay me about 5 million a year for it... don't worry about your dream job, just find something that you dont' hate too much and somebody will hire you to do...
  6. Call your local junior college and ask them if they are offering a Counseling Class. It is a class that truly helps you find out where your interests lie and how to meet that goal. Make sure you are clear about which class so they do not think it has to do with psychology. They test you so you can see where your strengths and weaknesses are. Even though this class will not count towards your major, it will be of a huge benefit to you. It is hard, as a young person, to know what you may want to do all of your life. Take the class. You won't be sorry.
  7. Your dream career is something you LOVE doing and you get PAID for it. Many of us do things we love like hobbys, old cars, collecting, junk sales, arts, crafts and more. The problem is we do it for fun but we dont get paid for our time. If you can match the two you are on to something. Example: Someone who loves SPORTS can get a job as a coach, newpaper editorialist, author on sports games, odds maker, broadcasting, etc. Someone who loves Helping People: home health care aid, nurse, EMT, counselor, non-profit group, mental health etc. Someone who loves SALES: car salesperson, RV salesperson, clothing, homes, boats, insurance, store, etc. Find what you love then look into what careers match your love and your strengths. Many colleges have assesment tests for this with the counselors. Check into it.
