What do you guys think are the top then jobs/careers that can help you change to the world?

2. I'm going to presume that you are thinking that it is for the benefit of our planet, society and people. The following list is not in any particular order. But most of these jobs are filled with people who are visionaries and forward thinkers with inventive minds. 1. Being an Artist, poet, writer, muscian etc. because artists nurture creativity in very peaceful and positive ways and they pass that on by giving it away to an audience or teaching it to others. They are also visionaries. 2. Teacher and/or professor, a carrier and transmitter of knowledge, of information, of critical thinking (if they are good at it). 3. Inventor or engineer if the inventions are for the benefit of society, the planet and help people and not for the sake of money. In otherwords, to improve the quality of life on the planet in some way that is efficient and doesn't waste or take more energy than it gives. They too are visionaries. 4. Organic Farmer 5. Environmentalist out in the field working to improve conditions, not just complain about conditions. 6. Scientist (non-military and not corporate) 7. A doctor, nurse or healthcare advocate and worker. Doctors without Borders is my favorite charity to give too. They do a great job. 8. Architect (working in a way to advance design and energy conservation issues that we face today) 9. Alternative energy worker or inventor (Solar, Wind and/or battery powered cars). This might also be in my inventor catagory. Someone who concerned about energy consumption and who actually is doing something about it and coming up with new ways to get off our oil and coal dependency. 10. Journalist. A true journalist. They are rare today. Something is going on in our universities where kids are graduating with communication degrees and human resources degrees and are working as journalists. This isn't journalism. We need journalists that are the old fashioned kind that really thouroughly dig into the stories that effect all our lives. Not the paris Hilton P.R writers or tabloid crap we see on television 'news' or in some of our newspapers owned by Rupert Murdoch now. People like Bill Moyers, and like those who write for the Nation magazine, L.A times, WallStreet Journal (before Murdoch bought it), and all the great newspapers that once existed.
